Welcome to the Latymer School Christmas Fair 2013 !

On Saturday November 23rd from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm the Parents’ Gild will be holding their annual Christmas Fair.  This exciting and sociable event attracts over 1,000 people to the School who come to shop for Christmas gifts, eat some delicious food, have some fun and, in the process, support the Horizon Fund and the Sports Centre Campaign.

The historic Main Hall will be full of a variety of different stalls run by parents and external stallholders.  These include festive foods, Christmas gifts, jewellery, Childrenswear, skiwear and the ever popular Tombola and Lucky Dip.  Our big attraction this year is a Christmas Raffle with the chance to win a holiday home in Barbados for a week, an iPod mini, £250 in Westfield vouchers and some priceless prizes such as a tour of ITN studios and a trip to the state of the art BT Sport studio and tickets to see Clare Balding’s Sports show.  We will also be running our popular Tree of Surprises.

The Sixth Form Common room is going to be transformed into a festive café offering savoury and sweet refreshments , both hot and cold. The piazza will be full of the appealing aroma of Yakiniku steak sandwiches, hot dogs, pancakes and waffles cooked to order. There will be mulled wine and mince pies to get you in the holiday mood and an array of activities run by pupils for the young and young at heart.

For the first year we are having a second hand sporting goods stall as well as welcoming back the traditional book and dvd’s stall.  We are running a “Vintage clothes” stall for teenagers, the legendary Prep run cake stall will be there  and our young musicians will keep you entertained throughout the afternoon.

Please help promote the Fair by sending this link to your friends.

All the proceeds from the Christmas Fair benefit the Horizon Fund which provides grants to current Latymer students who, for financial reasons, would not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in educational and curriculum-based trips or events, and the Sports Centre Campaign.
