Excitement is building for the CHRISTMAS FAIR which is only TEN DAYS AWAY!

At the moment our Tree of Surprises is only a NURSERY.  Please, please help to make it a FOREST by donating some suitable prizes.  The Tree is one of our biggest attractions, but we really need the following to make it a success:

bottles of alcohol, toiletries, new books, festive foodstuffs, vouchers for popular stalls etc.  so please bring your suitable prizes into the Porter’s Lodge or let your reps know.

We do have some fantastic prizes in our RAFFLE.  Check them out at www.latymerupperchristmasfair.wordpress.com.  You have been sent books for Raffle tickets to either buy or sell but please send them back to School for a chance to win an iPhone6 64GB, a weekend in a lovely Wiltshire house by the New Forest, £250 vouchers for LIBERTY and BODEN, an iPad Mini 3 64GBand much, much more!

Year 8 Lucky Dip at the Christmas Fair. We are looking for small prizes for the Lucky Dip, as well as Christmas decorations to hang up in our stall. There will be 2 lucky dips. One is a “Gruesome UnLucky Dip” for older kids. Please drop off any donations at the Porter’s Lodge to the attention of Jackie Ching, 8H. If you have any questions, email jaqc@aol.com.

Do come along to the Christmas Fair – 22 November 11am – 3pm as there are lots of students taking stalls, great food to eat, fun activities to do, lots of shopping potential and above all, it’s a fun and sociable occasion and it all supports the Horizon Fund.

Only two and a half weeks to go! 22nd November

As the weather is turning colder so the countdown to the Gild’s biggest event is on!  Come along to the CHRISTMAS FAIR on SATURDAY 22 NOVEMBER 11am to 3pm.  Many students and staff are running stalls and we need your support so come and shop, eat and participate in the festive fun.Our biggest event is the CHRISTMAS RAFFLE and you will be receiving books of tickets this week.  Please buy as many as you can and return them by post or by hand to the Porter’s Lodge.  We have some fabulous prizes and the list is growing all the time.  We also have a fantastic house in Barbados for our SILENT AUCTION.

Welcome to the Latymer Christmas Fair 2014!

The Parents’ Gild will be holding their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday November 22nd from 11.00-3.00pm.  It’s a great social and festive occasion when the Main Hall and the piazza is transformed into a Christmas market with over forty different stalls selling everything from Christmas gifts for the family to festive foods.

We will have stalls run by parents, students and external stallholders.  These range from stalls selling cakes and Christmas decorations to make up and jewellery. The Parents’ Gild stalls include the ever popular Tombola, Tree of Surprises and the Lucky Dip.  We will also be running a fantastic Christmas Raffle with wonderful prizes in such as an iPhone 6, dinner for 6 in a top restaurant and £250 in Liberty vouchers.

Do arrive hungry as the Sixth Form Common Room is going to be transformed into a welcoming café with sweet and savoury refreshments and our BBQ’s will be fired up and warming soup and mulled wine will keep the chill away.  Delicious pancakes and waffles, all cooked to order, will be available in the piazza and, if that isn’t enough, you could also have a tasty smoked salmon sandwich washed down with a glass of cold prosecco.

For the first year we are running a teenage treats stall to complement our “Teenage closet” second hand stall so come and find a bargain outfit for Christmas. If you’re sporty come along to the Second hand sporting goods stall and if you’re a bookworm check out the Second hand books and DVDs.

All the proceeds from the Christmas Fair benefit the Horizon Fund which provides grants to current Latymer students who, for financial reasons, would not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in educational and curriculum-based trips or events.
